Hiring Bridgetown

Bridgetown occasionally dances for free, in support of schools or worthy charities. To subsidise this we charge for corporate events, private parties and life-changing events such as weddings. Morris dancing dates back centuries to times when the crop-calendar ruled our lives and the dances are thought to have been used in fertility rites or festivals. This makes our dance, particularly appropriate for weddings, we feel. Our performances are specific to each event and you can request, Cotswold Morris, Border Morris, a combination that also includes sword-dances as well. We can perform traditional folk-song as part of the event and even put on seasonal folk-plays (mummers plays) that run for about fifteen minutes. Whatever your event, we add spirit and energy with a high level of musical artistry (checkout our video and photo pages for examples). We travel as a group of 8 to 12 dancers and our rates are designed to cover our expenses only, as we are a 'not for profit / mutual benefit' organization. Short set, 30 - 40 mins; $250 Longer set or multi-set performance, 1 hour or 2 shorter sets, $500
